Mark is a lifelong sailor, with experience on the waters of Chesapeake Bay and Puget Sound. By trade, he is a shipwright, restoring and repairing yachts. He has his USCG Master’s license.

Mark is active in the local racing scene, on boats such as a Santa Cruz 70 and his own Tartan 10. He enjoys cruising in Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands, and likes to pass on his love for sailing to his students.
