Captain Tami Allen
Tami started sailing on her father’s 50′ wood gaff cutter “Lille Danser” on a cruise to Mexico in the 80’s. This led to living aboard, operating a charter, teaching Scuba, working as an oil spill responder and incident commander for oil spills. When she’s not teaching sailing, she’s busy on the water as Bainbridge Island Police Department’s Harbormaster and leads the island’s emergency flotilla. When she’s not on the water, you’ll find her playing fiddle in a Cajun band. Tami holds a 100 Master license/AB and teaches ASA 101 Basic Keelboat, ASA 103 Basic Coastal Cruising, and ASA 104 Bareboat Charter.
Tami was an awesome instructor — super knowledgeable, helpful, cool-headed and a lot of fun. The entire trip was great and memorable and exceeded my expectations. I learned a lot and it was a great weekend! A.V., ASA 104
