Sailfest!
Sailfest is a casual racing event on Friday evenings in June, July, & August hosted by CYC (Corinthian Yacht Club) in June, STYC (Sloop Tavern Yacht Club) in July, and Seattle Sailing Club in August.
Sailfest promotes a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. It is designed to be a relaxed and stress-free experience, whether individuals are new to racing and looking to get started or simply want to have fun on the water with other boats. Unlike traditional racing events, the event does not have a formal Race Committee. Instead, teams participating in the event are trusted to adhere to the honor system for the start.
After the on-the-water activities, the event continues ashore with a social gathering where participants can unwind, socialize, and enjoy food and beverages. This aspect of Sailfest further promotes a sense of camaraderie and provides an opportunity for sailors to connect and share their experiences. NEW LOCATION (2024) for Post-Racing Shoreside Event:
We’re bringing Sailfest back to it’s original location! All post-racing shoreside events will be held at Corinthian Yacht Club – June – August. CYC is located just north of SSC in the floating building at the end of Shilshole Bay Marina (near dock V – X). We look forward to seeing you there!

2024 Potluck Information:
If you’d like to bring a dish to share, feel free! However, due to the location change, the SSC won’t be able to store your dish during the event. Please hold onto your dish until after sailing and bring it with you to the shoreside event at Corinthian Yacht Club.
Seeking August Event Volunteers!
To make this event a resounding success, we are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help run the event! We have a variety of roles available that will suit your interests and skills: Race Committee, BBQing hot dogs, tending to the food table, or helping with clean-up.
