Captain John Reigart

John has been on boats since he was six weeks old racing regattas and learning to sail with his father. He grew up in Charleston, South Carolina sailing his Sunfish, fishing and pleasure boating on outboard runabouts. and racing a Melges 24 up and down the East Coast of the United States. After moving to Seattle, Washington, John began exploring the Salish Sea; sailing regattas, daysailing, and bareboat chartering throughout the South Sound, San Juan Islands, and beyond.

John holds a USCG National Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessel (OUPV) of Less Than 100 GRT (OUPV-6) Captain’s license.

John enjoys helping both first-time and experienced sailors and power boaters build confidence in their skills and safety into their maritime practices.
