Captain Tana Graham
Tana Graham developed a love for sailing long before learning the sport. In 2009, she embarked on a weeklong cruise-and-learn adventure in the Whitsunday Islands in Australia. However, it was after her move to Seattle in 2013 that she truly immersed herself in sailing. She retook American Sailing Association lessons, joined a women’s racing team, and eventually began teaching friends and family to sail, often single-handing her own boat.
In June 2024, Tana earned her USCG captain’s license and ASA instructor qualifications. She now owns a Beneteau Oceania 38.1, which she keeps moored at Shilshole.
Tana’s goal is to encourage others to get out on the water and develop the same passion for sailing that she has!
