About
Following the initial success of the J/35 race boat, J-Boats introduced the cruising version, J/35C. The result is a cruising boat with the performance of a race boat. As a former Sailing World boat of the year, the J/35C really is the perfect mix of performance and luxury.
No Name had a full electric repower in 2024. The diesel engine was replaced by two electric ePropulsion pod drives. Having twin screws makes controlling the boat in tight spaces easy. The drives are powered by a 48volt 30.7 kwh/640 am hour Victron lithium ion battery bank; giving the boat 30-40 miles of range. The engines are nearly silent allowing for peaceful motoring both above and below deck.
The boat has been equipped with top of the line Victron equipment:
- Victron 3000 watt inverter/charter
- Victron Cerbo with a 5″ touch screen allowing remote monitoring with internet connection
- Victron DC/DC converter from 48v to 12vDC
The DC/DC converter allows the house bank to be topped off for long periods of time with normal loads. No Name is also equipped with a new fridge compressor, hot water heater, and a new charter plotter with instruments.
J/35Cs are able to handle a variety of wind conditions – they sail fast in light wind, and a simple reefing of the main and furling of the genoa enables them to easily handle heavier breeze. As a former Sailing World boat of the year, the J/35C really is a perfect mix of performance and luxury.
