COVID-19 UPDATES & NEW PROTOCOLS

Captain Doug Lombard

I have been sailing for over 50 years. My Grandfather gave my Dad little plywood catamaran that we took up to Spencer Spit and around the San Juan Islands in the ’60s. Dad got “2footitus,” also known as the “I want a bigger boat” syndrome. I was first mate and foredeck. I began ‘borrowing’ dad’s boat and running my own race crew before I was old enough to drive a car. I’ve owned a Hobie cat, Thistle, J33, and have been living aboard a custom Bruce Robert 37 for the last 10 years. I raced for others over the decades as well.  A certified ASA instructor and carrier of a 50-ton C.G. Masters license, I am also the founder of the sailing rally “Coho Ho Ho” that runs from Seattle to San Francisco – San Diego. I like to teach with humor and camaraderie. Sailing is one of the amazing adventures on this planet. I’m passionate about helping people realize their sailing dreams. Fairwinds and following Seas…

Doug is a remarkable teacher, with so much experience to draw from. We really enjoyed the sail, and learned a ton. J.W., ASA 103/104 Cruise N Learn
