Capt. Steve Neidhardt

Steve started sailing as a kid on the Chesapeake Bay cruising on big boats as well as banging around with his friends on their Sunfishes.  He raced in college where he went to the intercollegiate nationals as part of the 78’-79’ St. Mary’s sailing team.  He was also a member of the Northeastern University sailing team, racing on the Charles River in Boston, but regattas took him all over the east coast and Great Lakes.  Living in Boston for 30 years ,  he explored the coast from Connecticut to Maine while continuing to race Dinghy’s and large boats,  many times at the national championship level. Although racing has been a focus,  he also enjoy’s going out for an evening cruise or weekender with friends and family and is particularly enjoying exploring his new playground of Puget Sound and the islands. He is passionate about sailing and loves sharing this passion with others via teaching.  Steve is carries a 50-Ton C.G. Masters License and is an ASA certified instructor.
