C&C 27 Blew Moon
$10,000
About
Blew Moon is available for ownership through our leaseback program. You own the boat, SSC handles the moorage, and you get paid every month.
The leaseback: SSC covers your moorage at Shilshole Bay ($600/month) and pays you $275/month to keep Blew Moon in the fleet for lessons, charters, and club programs. That’s $875/month in total value on a $10,000 boat.
Owner sailing time: June through mid-September, up to 14 days (10 weekdays + 2 weekends). The rest of the year, use is virtually unrestricted.
The C&C 27 Mk V is a classic Pacific Northwest boat, a popular cruiser/racer built by C&C Yachts of Ontario, Canada. More than 1,000 C&C 27s were built from 1970 to 1989. The Mk V was designed to be competitive under the MORC rule while remaining approachable and easy to sail. She handles the Sound confidently and is set up to be manageable short-handed.
Down below, Blew Moon has a full interior: v-berth forward, settee and dinette with a fold-down teak table, a galley with a two-burner propane stove, and a head. A comfortable first boat that won’t feel like a compromise on the water.
As a boat owner in the SSC fleet, you become a Seattle J Club member at a discounted rate, with access to the full SSC fleet for day sail and overnight charter, the Race Program, and all member programs year-round. There are also potential tax benefits to leaseback ownership worth discussing with your accountant.
